MAIN ACTIVITIES
The Company was operated on a divisional basis, and acting as an independent profit center with each division. The divisions reflects the main interests of the company being construction, construction equipment and industrial plants support & equipments hire, transportation, production of aggregates & operation of rock quarries and asphalt mix supply, real estate property, camps, travel and commerce.


START OF ACTIVITIES

Since the date of formation, Nassir Hazza & Brothers Co. Ltd. started its activities mainly in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, being construction with Saudi Aramco for roads, buildings, pipelines, steel structure buildings, maintenance and rental of equipment, in addition to works for Government Department as outlined hereunder:

CONSTRUCTION DIVISION
The construction division is the oldest within the company’s operational activities, tracing its origin to the formation of company over 53 years, during this period its civil, mechanical and building projects. All types of construction has been performed and it has carried out contracts on lump sum procure and build, cost plus and unit rate basis involving civil, mechanical and electrical, purchase and provision of all the necessary material, equipment, plant vehicles tools and personnel.

DURING MAJOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA ESPECIALLY IN CONTRACTING AND CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS NEW EQUIPMENT FOR CONSTRUTION OF ROADS AND BUILDINGS WERE INTRODUCED, WHICH UPGRADED COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES TO MEET WITH THE SITUATION AND REQUIPMENTS OF OUR CLIENTS.

Government of Saudi Arabia started scrutinizing Contractor’s qualifications for classification purposes during 1975. Our company earned classification certificate of the following categories in the relevant field of work.

WITH THE GRACE OF “ALMIGHTY ALLAH” OUR COMPANY ACHIEVED TREMENDOUS DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRESS WITH ITS PLANT, EQUIPMENT AND TECHNICAL STAFF TO EXPAND ACTIVITIES IN BROTHERLY COUNTRIES.

BAHRAIN

• Construction of approach roads, bridges and street lighting to King Fahd Causeway Bahrain side (22 KM Roads and 9 Bridges). The value of project was estimated and awarded SR.128, 200,000. The client was Ministry of Finance and National Economy of Saudi Arabia.

• Construction of Hazza Garden Compound with first class (European Style) villas and all necessary infrastructure, swimming pools and tennis courts.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

• Our Company worked and completed Shuab Dam between Al-Ain / Dubai

• Heavy Equipment is available in U.A.E. for rental to the local market customers.

QATAR

• Heavy Equipment leased to Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Government Sand Plant Operation Division Qatar, for Hire of Overburden Stripping Machinery to Government Sand Plant.

• Heavy Equipment is made available in Qatar for rental to the local market customers.

KUWAIT

• Nassir Hazza and Brothers was one of the first companies, who entered into Kuwait during Gulf War and coordinated with Bechtel Co. to Extinguish Fire by providing over (200) two hundred pieces of Heavy Equipment in 72 hours of notice from our client K.O.C. and Bechtel Company in Kuwait.

• Total value of the contract was 245,000,000. Heavy Equipment was increased up to 780 pieces plus 1100 personnel. “Almighty Allah” helped us to complete the job to Extinguish Fire in Kuwait to the entire satisfaction of our client.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE ACTIVITIES WE HAVE ESTABLISHED SUPPORTING FACILITIES TO THE CONSTRUCTION DIVISIONS.

• Investment in agriculture farms for vegetables, fruits, poultry and dairy farms. With an area of 4,000 hectares at Dammam Abu Hadriyah Roads was placed, keeping in view of the demand of the market.

• Travel and Tourism business developed through Hazza Travel Agency. Hazza Travel Agency gained its status after getting IATA membership.

• We have established Real Estate business, which is in operation through Hazza Real Estate Office, Al Khobar, for rental of villas, apartments and show rooms.

• We are performing maintenance of Roads, Buildings and Airports by providing qualified and trained staff in accordance to the need and requirements of our Clients.

• We are producing and supplying crushed aggregates to our projects and for the local market customers, who needed concrete and asphalt as well as various sizes of Armour Rock for Marine works and water protection.

• Transportation Division, serving our projects and crushers by providing various capacities of Trucks and Trailers, light and heavy vehicles.

PLANT HIRE

• The Plant Hire Division was formed as natural extension to the growing Construction Division in order to optimize the utilization of the large fleet of expensive construction equipment owned by the company.

• Equipment leased covers all aspects of construction including Cranes, Dozers, Excavators, Graders, Loading Shovels, Rollers, Scrapers, Pavers and all types of equipment and tools associated with major construction equipment and plant are leased on both fully operated and maintained basis or bare lease only.

TRANSPORTATION

• The company own and operate its fleet in excess of 400 vehicles, ranging from 100 ton low-beds to ¾ ton all purposes use pick-up trucks, and undertake all types of transport either in support of its own construction projects or acting in support of others as a principal transport supplier.

• All of the company’s vehicles have been specifically adapted for use in the climatic conditions of Saudi Arabia. The services provided to cover comprehensive range of local transport needs particularly for the construction industry, including the transport of on-site, aggregates, water, fuel and portable camp accommodation units and all of the equipment and logistic support for major construction works.

AGGREGATES AND ASPHALT

• The extremely rapid development of the infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia necessitated the provision of large quantities of crushed rock and asphalt particularly for the construction of new roads and expressways and in order to secure an adequate supply of these materials for the on-going projects. The company deemed it necessary to invest in opening up its own quarries and in purchasing its own crushers and asphalt plants.

• Currently the Company operates five quarries situated in the Eastern and Central Provinces and commercially operates eleven crushing plants and five batch asphalt plants, satisfying not only its own needs for aggregate and asphalt, but also being a major supplier of these products to other users within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

REAL ESTATE PROPERTY

• The real estate property was formed to satisfy the requirements of the company to house its own employees. However due to an increasing demand in the local market for quality buildings the company enlarged the Division and undertook the development of commercial properties, villas houses and apartment buildings in order to be able to offer a fully comprehensive portfolio to local and expatriate residents.

• All of the company’s properties are built to internationally accepted luxury standards and the company continues its program of quality buildings.

• In 1990 Al-Hazza Real Estate was re-organized and moved into its premises on 25th Street North Al Khobar from where it offers comprehensive leasing services to the customers of the company’s properties.

TRAVEL AND TOURISM

• With an increasing number of expatriate employees it was necessary to employ several persons within the Personnel Department to facilitate the necessary travel arrangements, therefore, established travel department within the company.

• In order to meet with travel requirements, an Agency was registered under the name of Hazza Travel and Tourism Agency, and the staff moved into premises situated at the junction of King Khalid Street and 25th Street, North Al Khobar, within the family membership.

• Hazza Travel and Tourism Agency have been approved and gained membership of IATA and assigned numeric code 71-209891 (HQ). Its great achievement towards the business promotion activities within the family holding acts as an independent travel documents handling and arrangements for the local public in addition to the company’s own employees.

COMMERCIAL DIVISION

• With the tremendous growth of the construction industry, it became increasingly necessary to be able to secure a prompt supply of materials, consumable, services and spare parts and to be able to perform the tight contractual schedules and to fulfill commitments in time.

• The Commercial Division has been re-organized to facilitate the purchase of the numerous items of material and consumable required and to keep a level of stock to avoid delays in contractual schedule, not only for the company but also other contractors in similar circumstances.
